Why Join TEAM JDS?
The competitive program is considered an extension of a JDS student’s learning environment. The focus is to educate our students in all many areas of the performing arts and provide life lessons. We aim to develop and train students at a high caliber of technique & performance with the intent to foster the athlete and artist within each individual. We encourage building a strong sense of self-esteem, confidence and teamwork. Competitive students will build life-long friendships and learn the importance of cooperation, sportsmanship, conflict resolution and time management skills.
2023/2024: Team JDS won many of the top awards, 1st overalls, highest marks, judges choice and special awards.
Requirements: Competitive dancers train in Acro, Tumbling, Ballet, Jazz, Stretch n Strength, Competitive Technique, Jumps & Turns with an optional classes
We offer:
*Part Time Competitive Teeny (3-4 years old)
*Part Time Competitive Minis (4-6 years old)
*Part Time Competition Jrs/Intermediate/Srs (7+)
*Elite Competitive/Full Time Competitive
These programs are offered to students by audition or Directors recommendation.
Auditions are usually held in May/June and again in August/September.

TEAM JDS is building its recognition for its excellence in dance technique training by many reputable adjudication authorities. In addition to being recognized for our innovative choreography, students have earned numerous individual student recognition awards.
Dancers from our Competitive Program have also won scholarships and National invites.
