Acro dance blends dance and acrobatics, offering a fun, athletic experience for all ages. At J’Danse Studio Toronto, our classes—from preschool beginners to teen competitors—build strength, flexibility, and confidence in a safe, supportive environment.

Acro Dance Class Levels

Mini Acro (Ages 4–5)

A fun introduction for preschoolers. Students explore forward rolls, assisted handstands, basic balance activities, and gross motor skills through age-appropriate games. This level emphasizes coordination, confidence, and body awareness—an ideal first step into dance.

Acro 1/2 (Ages 6–8)

Beginners learn cartwheels, bridges, and rolls, all taught step-by-step with proper form. Classes include core strength and flexibility drills for safe progress. By the end of the level, students enjoy short tumbling sequences.

Acro 3/4 (Ages 9–14)

Ideal for older kids and teens—including those with some acro or gym experience. Students explore walkovers, aerials, handstand pirouettes, and connect moves into dance routines. Instruction remains safety-first with close spotting.

Competitive Acro (Ages 6+)

By audition only—this high-level path adds extra training and performance opportunities. Students combine acro, stretch & strength, and choreography for competitions. Great for serious, motivated dancers.

Teens & Adults (15+)

Available upon request or through workshops. We tailor progressions for older beginners and offer trick-conditioning classes. Acro can be a dynamic, fun fitness challenge at any age.

Benefits of Acro Dance
