Look & Feel Your Best in Every Class
Dress Code for Dance Classes
At J’Danse Studio, we want every dancer to feel confident, comfortable, and prepared. Our dress code helps ensure safety, freedom of movement, and a focused learning environment for all styles and ages.
To support our dancers, we offer a 3-week grace period so families have time to order the correct attire. During this time, previous dancewear or activewear is perfectly acceptable.
Class-Specific Dress Code Guidelines
It is mandatory that all students come to class dressed in the proper dance attire as outlined otherwise they may be asked to sit out. Hair must be pulled back in a bun and off the face (bobby pins necessary to ensure the bun doesn’t fall out – hair net optional).
Dance attire should be clean, nails groomed, and fragrances limited
PLEASE ENSURE THAT DANCE SHOES ARE SIZED TO FIT, NOT WORN OUT or TOO LARGE

Why We Enforce a Dress Code
Having a consistent dress code supports both the dancers and instructors in several important ways. It encourages discipline and classroom unity, which enhances the learning atmosphere. Allows the instructors to clearly see posture, alignment, and technique for proper corrections. Maintains studio hygiene and supports safety during movement. Helps dancers feel a sense of identity and pride as part of the J’Danse community
By aligning appearance and focus, we create a more professional and welcoming environment.
